@BAMozzy Bang on but everyone should know this already except some of the current gen gamers who would think the playable whole game is burned on the disc. Given this, MS can put this license onto DVDs at a somewhat lower cost without needing Blu ray manufacturing and paying Sony a fee. The issue still remains of the decline of components and companies willing to manufacture Blu Ray drives just for an Xbox to stay competitive. If it were a cheaper DVD drive for Helix, Xbox One and Series X games would not work and gamers would need to rely on their legacy consoles to convert. Blu Ray drives are being phased out so in the end no disc drive for Helix is inevitable. Asha said they are looking for affordability and efficiency. A DVD drive is just that but consumers would be pissed when their old blu ray disc game does not work 😂

@Fiendish-Beaver waste of money to pick up something redundant as a Blu ray player when your game consoles are just that. Find the space and also get an HDMI coupler to switch between the systems if your ports on TV are all used up. A good 4K switch isn't cheap so this what I do.

The simplest way to play OG Xbox and 360 games is for Helix to have the optional disc drive. It just won't have the digital license as the exception but I am good with it as long as I can play them. I am sure MS will find a way as that is the point of BC of all older generations.

@kuu_nousee Problem is people want to sell the game to recouperate some of the cost once they are finished. I once bought a Tomb Raider game from a guy for $10 and Uncharted Trilogy for the same price. $20 was the max for any physical games.

@MaccaMUFC Same here, I want to buy and play the cheaper Steam games and install mods if they allow that. I am hoping Helix will enhance a majority of older Xbox games which was talked about early on. It would breathe new life in them. There is an unknown about the extent of its capabilities which could determine whether Helix is better or the PS6. Will an optional disc drive determine it's success.

Tekken X Street Fighter and Forza Horizon 1 which I never got to play. Same with all of those Transformers games lol.

Why doesn't Asha just send a friendly email to all the developers and let them know Xbox is the future and allow them to make all games BC. Forget the fees whatnot, these old games may continue to sell and developers will get a cut. Why resist and say no to Xbox. I would want my 15 year old games to be played again as would their own children. Just remove the licensed music part of it and it should be good to go.

@Commander91_YT Here is a tip, find a used Seagate expansion card which I did and found a good deal. It made a huge difference and no more worrying about storage.

I want more games like Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 where you are in a group with companions and there is dialogue. AI can be used in this way effectively. Many single player games see you out there travelling on your own which is old school. Stellar Blade, Wu Kong, Where Wind Meets, Ghost of Tshushima/Yotei, all Assassins Creed games, all Souls game, Elden Ring. I know Souls game are meant to be challenging in your own but let allow you to toggle allies on or off.

Well this was unexpected, all the best to Sarah as she seemed like a refreshing face to the brand all these years. I hope MS has a good plan going forward knowing Sarah probably did have a difficult choice to make or was cornered in some way like in any corporate position. I will continue to enjoy my Series X and do not have the time for a PS5 under my TV. Not money but time. Forza Horizon 6, Fable and State of Decay 3 is all I need. ESO is always good to get into once in awhile to chill while we all wait for GTA 6.

I am on Team Xbox all the way and forever. These kinds of action games where you are The One and fight hordes and hordes of monsters/demons are the new fad I guess. I personally don't want to play them as they look so repetitive like Stellar Blade which is in the same genre. Yes damn Sony for hoarding and punishing other consoles owners. I can buy a PS5 anytime but I won't. Just waiting for FH6, SOD 3, and perhaps Fable. Sony can keep these games and those Genshin type RPGs also. Prefer Elder Scrolls online anyways 😜

I don't really care about the more cars wish list. That didn't help FH5 a lot did it. I want new gameplay modes, some types of missions or delivery mode like in FH4 but expanded (Uber Eats?). A laser tag mode and/or shooting other cars for points using laser or paint ball gun like weapon attached to hood of car. Nintendo Splatter game inspired?Would like to see people walking around the city to make it come alive and not just the locals 😏. Some food market stands also. How about an AI girlfriend in the passenger seat or a guy if you wish lol. Didn't Phil Spencer fire many employees this summer so more investment can go into AI. Now is the time Phil to implement it despite sad loss of staff and many games and it's studios.

I've been playing Dragon Age The Veilguard all of last week and still on it. I am really enjoying it didn't expect a linear game. I thought it would be an updated continuation of Inquisition and a somewhat open world. Still this is a fun action oriented game and what God of War Ragnarok should have been. The latter lacks people/NPCs in that world which consist of mostly monsters and creatures to fight. Same with Stellar Blade. I played some Super Smash Bros on the Switch as well. After Dragon Age, Dragons Dogma 2 will be next. Funny it's another rpg with 'Dragon' in it. Happy New Years to all and wish for everyone to be healthy and happy.

My go to games are Grid Legends, FH 5, and Disney Storm time time. I played some Baja Edge of Control also. I am waiting to get back into Elder Scrolls Online again soon as it takes a lot of your time as I don't have a lot. Hard for me to start a single player game nowadays so I don't start. Got a PS4 Pro also, played FF15 then I got bored. Don't even feel like starting Spider Man. Racing games are quick to get into and fighting games which I have also. Hope to reinstall Halo Infinite for the Helldivers 2 mode and 3rd person update. How is that going also, fun?

I would be really satisfied if all game consoles run at 2K /60 fps. Since it is so hard for developers to achieve 60 fps, give us that performance mode for EVERY single game to run at 1080p. Why was Starfield and Red Fall running at 30 fps at launch. Dragons Dogma 2 didn't performed as expected either. The Elders Scrolls Online plays at 60 fps and the graphics are fine. I know you all want this 4K realistic graphics as we all deserve it in this day and age but there is always a price to pay with this 30 fps bs. I want GTA 6 to run at 2K 60 fps if not 1080p; not this Year 2000 30 fps Rockstar indicated. Ps. All those old PS4 /Xbox One games that were boosted to 60 fps were great and made them more enjoyable. F 4K as that is only possible on higher end PCs costing thousands of dollars. This PS5 Pro better boost every game to 60 fps at minimum with ray tracing off or it's useless to own one.

Haven't played this game yet as I didn't activate my Game pass core code yet. Just not a lot of time. Also some of you mention you want to play with someone again but me, I got nobody so some of you will be my fake buddies to play with 🤨 My real friends don't game, they make a lot of money.

@Zochmenos Xbox is the only system you could play Killer Instinct and that is all that matters. There is no other fighting game in its likeness. My fav is still UMVC 3 due to
being so fun with many characters and doesn't take itself seriously. SF6 is now available for Xbox but got bored with it. Power Rangers is even more fun to play surprisingly in its current state and Ryu and Chun LI are available lol.

Played FF7 Remake on my PS4 Pro and found it difficult while FF15 was much easier and still early on in the game. I quit Remake when I couldn't beat the damn robot boss after an hour. If they had an easy mode I would be happy to continue on well. My Series X is still my go to system.

I have been playing Dragon Age Inquisition which I bought for $5 a year ago while I was playing ESO and some free online FPS. I just pick a few older ones and stick with them unlike you guys playing the latest.. Waiting for State of Decay 3 which is like ordering an EV these days.
