Re: Bethesda Exec Responds To 'Unprofessional' Criticism Of Starfield's Menu Screen

We are in 2023 and not bc it has been your menu since the beginning of time means that it should be the same now specially when you are about to release a massive game. As a UI and UX designer with 15 years of exp this has questionable design decisions and from a merely visual standpoint looks weird in terms of composition and graphic style. Yes it has this 'minimalistic' look but that does not necessarily helps the aesthetic of the design. Maybe it is ok for the masses but not so good for the people who really like and tend to pay attention to these kind of things. So in my opinion this looks a bit bland. I really hope that the UI looks much better. As a personal note I don't know why but majority of XBOX games UI interfaces look cheap but that's a subjective opinion and topic I guess.

@Banjo- Thanks for the article, Ill take a look and I totally understand that everyone in all the business around the world do that (buying other companies to grow) but to be honest I wouldnt feel the way I feel if MS were good at actually doing more at a production level, but lately (past 3 years) I havent heard anything from them . I hope this acquisition means that not only they will add those games to game pass but to shake them in a good way and produce more quality things and not only sleep on it.

I know both sony and Microsoft have their own miss and wins but personally I feel I cannot respect this company at all , puchasing an entire company of very well known and positioned games to compete in the market because either they dont know or cant do games is dissapointing to my eyes. I know you will say bad things about Sony too but I’m not talking about gaming here Im talking about the way this compnay is moving throught the business, to me it feels cheap, fake, or plastic I dont know. Dont get me wrong, I dont have sides in this “war” but in a way I feel a bit dissapointed I would much rather prefer for MS to produce very unique games but unfortunately is not the case, they have to purchase them.
