@OldGamer999 I rather enjoyed the investigation and the “mind place” bit. I didn’t find there was any less action because you encountered the action with Alan AND Saga, whom I found to be a welcome addition to the game. The two storylines intertwined well and it was like playing two different games at once but both having the same goal. If you aren’t a fan of having to figure out puzzles in order to progress in a game, you probably won’t like this, but if I wanted a straight action shooter- I would go play Saints Row again. I like having a complex story with hurdles that I have to use my head for, and this one was excellent!
@Benjamin The Zane part is a bit confusing, but nothing in the series is ever wrapped up neatly. In these psychological horror games I’ve come to the point that in order to buy into it you have to be able to suspend reality entirely, so I just go with it.
@tslog There’s nothing Woke about it. You’re just someone who is petrified that the world doesn’t revolve around white men. Saga was biracial but not once was race or sex ever projected into the story, unless YOU put it there in your own sick mind.
I love Alan Wake 2. I think the story is great and I absolutely loved the whole Coffee World theme park area. I really tried to get an Oh Deer coffee mug, but have yet to be successful. I would actually love to have an entire game devoted to Saga, because honestly, I enjoyed playing her more than Alan this time! If I have one criticism, it’s that damn studio chapter- not when he’s trying to get out of the studio, but when he’s walking around the sets. It’s just so long! But I could have walked around Bright Falls and Coffee World with Saga all day! Loved her!! I was a huge fan of the first game and have probably played it 5 times on Nightmare mode. I finished Alan Wake 2 (even though it took a long time because of all the crashing on Series S!! Thank goodness they finally fixed that mess!!) and I am trying again on Nightmare mode now! Looking forward to the DLC!
