@BowsersBuddy Just be aware that you can't complete the final mission without playing with some settings, as the fps increase made the button mashing part there impossible (series X at least for me, you can find workarounds online). As far as I know they haven't patched it so you have to manually do it. Aside from that it plays quite well.
@GamingFan4Lyf But it is. Well, at least for me. First off I have no connection to Payday, never played it before, so can't comment on that. Also I have not touched the multiplayer component of this game yet, but I have some hours in the campaign. And it is a cheesy 90s crime sim. Some Story bits repeat themselves when you restart the campaign due to death, but this should change now based on the update notes, as thos were the train, yacht etc. heists. Also you have special characters that have their own special solo stories and levels, ranging from escaping a bar fight with a shotgun to infiltrating a russian airport etc. You keep you level ups between playthroughs of the campaign as well as your treasures that you bought for your hideout.
And yes, it is repetitive, but personally I have a lot of fun with it, even after 10 bank heists inside quite the same basic map, enemy and camera placement as well as civilians are different every time and add to the thrill. Your hired guys are bots but most of the time they behave well and you can control them anytime if you want to reposition them.
As I said, the story is very very cheesy but that is the fun for me as I really like all those character and they are mostly playing their biggest roles kinda. Like Danny Glover as Gloves, the retired cop etc. It is delivered thorugh shorter segments and some story bits happen by rng, meaning you don't get all the ultra heists on each playthrough (maybe this changes now with 2.0) but all in all I have to say it is a lot of fun for the price. Nothing beats having a great run with loads of cash and then running a robbery with only one buddy as it's a low reward one. And then finding out that the cops are hiding in the truck you just opened and were waiting for you.
I guess you should really look up some videos and just form an oppinion based on that. Maybe Payday is loads better but I am not really a multiplayer person so I could never get into that. Technically I never encountered bad bugs, maybe a short grapghical glitch but that was it and I have quite some hours in it as I was dying constantly in the beginning ^^
