@rustyduck Without a pretty significant leap in id tech, that won't be happening. The creative director Hugo Martin said that the reason the levels in Doom 2016 and Eternal are not "lived-in" (ie, why the demons teleport into arenas instead of inhabiting the space or following players around levels) is because the cpu power going to a bunch of ai running around would crash the game. Makes sense. Not the smartest demons out there, but those baddies are all over the place in the last few games.
I thought it was excellent...for a 2025 presentation. I was really hoping XBOX would take the opportunity and fill the void left by Sony and Nintendo the rest of the year. I'm hyped for Doom. The rest is pretty solid looking stuff though. If more of these were coming this year with an exclusivity window, I might be interested in getting an XBOX. As is, I'll be waiting to buy anything from them at least until 2025.
