Being on game pass really did hurt sales obviously but let's not kid ourselves and say that sales would have been met if it wasn't on there. No one online had anything good to say about either the outer worlds 2 or avowed, it was either "it's a bad game" or "it's meh". For me at least I wouldn't have even tried the games if they weren't on game pass and if I did buy them then I would have refunded both because they absolutely were not worth a full price tag.
