That's one of first things I got for my series x. As well as rubber caps to put on rj45 and a cover to stop leads dust coming in from the top. With out impreedng airflow.
You can remove that fan. But it's not for faint hearted. A vacuum cleaner could be a good option to try and suck up that dust.
It really is shocking how some people treat their hardware. If you want your product to last longer clean it down from time to time is essential. If there is a restriction of airflow going to the CPU then that is going to cause thermal throttling. That is never good for this CPU and the motherboard.
I'll suggest that people should look at the fan on top of the Xbox as well as this collects dust. Which you can remove from the fan, just by gently using a damp cloth that has been run out well. So you just attract the dust particles to it etc.
Anything with a fan is going to do this. Check your meetings or USB fans. You should see first has built up on one side.
But this is laziness. Which begs me to think what is their car, bike and even shoes like.
