Man alive, the more I hear, the more I hope it's as good as it sounds. Dubious of games that, seemingly, require Kinect and a controller, but hopefully Ubisoft have put a lot of thought into how this'll all snap together (see what I did there) and if we do have to swap mid-missions, it's done well. I'd hope that during missions it'd be voice commands only though, or a quick head flick to get people moving in silent times
Had a go at work; I have to say that the review is pretty much bang on the money. I'd say it's harder to enjoy at first than Dance Central, there's a sharp learning curve with MJE, that just wasn't evident with Dance Central, that said, it's soon overcome and there's just something, I don't know what the word is, magical(?) to doing MJ songs that aren't just you, in your front room faking it in front of the TV with Top Of The Pops* on.
*UK readers only, over a certain age, will appreciate/remember doing that
I love my Samsung Omnia 7, WP7 is just fantastic. I've had all major phone OS's, this one is the most stable, fastest and a real beauty to boot. Kinect integration will be strange, but welcome
This warms my heart. I'd heard they'd dropped the finger tracking ability, and the cynic in me thought that it was a deliberate ploy for Kinect 2.0, now I'm extremely hopeful this can be done with Kinect 1.0 )
That certainly looks like it's got a lot of potential. I remember reading that the Kinect wasn't able to 'see' fingers individually. This may have been an M$ smokescreen, since it's only the software that's been re-jigged for this to work on other systems. At least I'm safe in the knowledge that if Kinect on the 360 suddenly becomes utter rubbish and no one supports it; I can have my own private Minority PC experience
Oft, charging for 2 new routines, and 320points at that. Think I'll hold off, Using Uplay points unlocked a cardio killer routine (28mins) so I'll work my way towards that rather than spunking points (money) on another boxing routine.
I wish he'd picked something up, like a cup or a dog. Hover dog. Explain that one Ripley's! But almost 7mins without anything more than bad dancing and arm waving, wasted opportunity
Good review. Completely sold me on the 'no need to buy it' list. I'm pushed for space as it is, I bang up against the sofa behind me on Your Shape as it is, so I know I don't have the room for this title at all. The controller issue doesn't bother me that much, but having said that, I hope it doesn't start to become the norm, it's a sign of possibly lazy developing, 'just use the controller, it's too much effort to us to map it out on Kinectable menues'.
Shame, I would have liked to have bought this after my Your Shape had ran its course. I also like the heart monitor attachment. Thanks for saving me £70
I've been using Your Shape since launch. I haven't even put Kinect Adventures in the 360 yet! I absolutely love it. I never really considered myself as any kind of excercise freak, or someone who actually did any truth be told, but this 'game' has changed that. Sure the achievements act as a massive reward for me just now as I'm a huge pointswhore, but it's now become more than that.
I use 1kg weights at the moment and the difference it's made to my arms already is visible. I'm 6'2" and around 15st on the button. I've lost about 4lbs so far but gained a fair amount of muscle mass vs fatty fat fat. My midlife gut, whilst still there, is now feeling worried, as it should, it's days are numbered!
As a routine I regularly do the Silver complete cardio boxing and either the full Gold or some cardio 'personal training' option, seeing off between 150-200cals per session.
After the first week I thought I would be bored of the limited cardio boxing option, but truth be told, I'm glad there's not a lot, I'd just jump between them and not feel any benefit; at least now not only is my tiredness a measurement, but so's the knowledge of how many calories I can burn in one evening.
I'm awaiting the EA Sports Active 2 review, but to be honest, I can't see me moving from Your Shape for a while, especially with the DLC of Diamond boxing lesson in January. That and I need to 1000/1000 this

Re: Meet Child of Eden's Creator at UK Event Next Week
Yeah, I played Rez, back in the day, not a fan of trancey music though, so maybe that's my problem
Re: Meet Child of Eden's Creator at UK Event Next Week
Am I the only person alive who just thinks this is rubbish?
Re: Kinect to Receive an Official Microsoft Controller with Buttons
Microsoft promo videos make me mouth sick, so much schmuckery in them.

Re: Rumour: Kinect to Get Significantly More Accurate with Update
@RedToad64: Sounds like software compression, so Dash/Kinect specific software update, not hardware.

Re: Out Today: Your Shape: Fitness Evolved DLC
Shame there isn't a spellchecker, or content checker. No relevance at all to the article.
