It's hard to beat wiping the morning sleep off your eyes only to learn SEGA has officially begun rolling out its games onto Xbox's Disc to Digital program. Currently, it looks as though it's limited to Xbox Insider testing, but still, get excited up people, SEGA games are coming!
Of all the major publishers yet to bring their titles to the program, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, and SEGA, were amongst the ones to watch. Ubisoft was on that list too before its sudden appearance earlier this month, and now, in a similar fashion, SEGA games have started working with the Disc to Digital feature.
It's only been a number of hours since people started noticing SEGA games working, meaning there's still plenty to test out. As it stands, we're seeing reported success with series such as Persona, Like A Dragon, and Yakuza, amongst various other personally-tested titles like Unicorn Overlord.
It's worth mentioning, not every tested SEGA game seems to work. For instance, Alien Isolation doesn't appear to be included in the program yet. That doesn't mean it won't ever work, but as things stands, it's just one of many titles yet to be included.
Time will tell if other big name companies like Square Enix or Bandai Namco join the service, but if I were to make an educated guess, then there's a good chance they'll appear at some point in the future.
