This Sunday marks the long-awaited Xbox Games Showcase 2026, which will include a massive section dedicated to the latest Gears game in the form of the Gears of War: E-Day Direct.
Just like we've seen in the past for the likes of Starfield and The Outer Worlds 2, this segment will feature at least 30 minutes' worth of footage and developer insight for the next Gears title, and according to Xbox's Senior Social Media Manager, it's their "favourite" Xbox Direct that's ever been put together:
If you're new to the Xbox Games Showcase, the idea is that we'll get around 60-90 minutes' worth of first and third-party reveals from Xbox, and then they'll dedicate the rest of the two-hour broadcast to Gears. However, if you're only interested in E-Day, it might be worth checking out the start of the event as well - we recently predicted that it might open the show with a release date, along with a teaser that more information will follow at the end. We'll see!
