I have far too many open games to play and too little time, but I'm still very tempted to get Alan Wake Remastered. Beat it back then on the X360, but without the DLC.
I was about to say that one can get a lot out of gaming with the constant sales, but at the same time I really wonder how many people are similar to me and buy games because they are on sale and really cheap, but then never end up playing them.
@tho_mi Haha yeah I have bought a lot of games that were cheap and haven't played them yet so you are not alone there my friend haha
I'd say pick up the Alan wake remaster though it's definitely worth it for that price and a great game i bought it in the build up to Alan wake 2 it's obviously a huge improvement over the original.
Two of my favorite games ever the Alan wake games are.
I am worse than you both, @tho_mi & @Skinny-Pete, not only do I buy games in a sale because they are cheap, and not then go on to play them, but I also buy many games day one at full price, and still do not end up playing them.
Basically, I buy far too many games, and have a tendency to return to older games even though I may have played them several times before. Case in point; I am replaying the Mass Effect Legendary Edition yet again, despite only two days ago having bought both 007: First Light and the new Lego Batman. That's a combined cost of well over a £100, and yet I'm replaying older games, go figure... 🤪
@Skinny-Pete my purse told me to tell you not thank you
@Fiendish-Beaver you're the good guy who's supporting devs these days I mainly buy Nintendo games and some indies at launch. For XBox games I still have GamePass (for whatever reason I'm still only paying 13,99€ for GPU) and everything else gets cheaper really quickly.
@Fiendish-Beaver Sounds like you like the dopamine hit of buying games fresh out maybe anyways haha 😂
To much constantly available or fresh out or on sale everyday then you throw gamepass into the equation there's not enough time in the day to play everything of interest nowadays!
Which is why the best part of us have backlogs something that wouldn't of happened a couple generations of consoles a go.
@tho_mi It's worth it my friend you will enjoy and most importantly you deserve it!!
And yeah I'm still getting my gamepass cheap aswell God bless those beautiful eu laws keeping it cheap for us haha
@Skinny-Pete thanks, but it turns out I already bought that game more than 2 years ago. Paid 9,89€ at the end of 2023 lol
@tho_mi Haha 🤣 another victim of the sales haha
That's why I appreciate backwards and forwards compatibility on Xbox so much. It's a given on PC, but not on Switch 2 and PS5 where you need to pay extra for current-gen versions most of the times, even with first-party games. On Xbox, I can buy a game and I know I can play it now or in the future at no extra cost.
