We've already mentioned how there are so many great Xbox indie games coming out in April, but sadly we've just lost two of them — those being Outbound and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction.
Both of these games have unfortunately been delayed, with Outbound being pushed from April 23rd to May 14th, and He-Man going from April 28th to Summer TBD. Here are a couple of messages from the respective teams:
Outbound: “We’ve had to make the difficult decision to delay Outbound to May 14. Late in the process, an issue has been identified that could negatively impact your enjoyment of the game. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough time to still guarantee a release across all platforms on the originally planned date. Please be assured that our team has worked extremely hard to address this and did everything possible to stay on schedule."
He-Man: "We’re nearing the end of development for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction. To ensure that this release will excite and challenge fans across all generations, additional time for development is needed... Thank you for your continued patience as we take additional time to refine the game and deliver an experience worthy of fans."
Despite the delay, Outbound has a free demo on the Xbox Store that you can enjoy until the game comes out in mid-May. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction unfortunately does not have a free demo.
There are plenty of other amazing Xbox indie games to enjoy in April 2026 in the meantime though! Go and play some of those, and we'll leave you with a couple of trailers for Outbound and He-Man to keep your hype levels high!
