Ever wanted to send your friends Xbox 360-style voice messages outside of an Xbox 360 itself?
Well, you can now do just that — a new website called Xbox Chatting has popped up over the past few days, and it's basically a recreation of the Xbox 360's voice messaging features, complete with an Xbox 360-esque dashboard!
Once you arrive on the website, you can add a voice, add text, change your "Gamertag", play around with mic settings to make your voice sound as authentic possible, change your profile picture and even change your background.
Then, once you've recorded what you want to say, you get a dedicated link to send to your friend. They can respond to it if they want to, and they'll get another link to send back your way. Here's a look at it in action (be warned of some inappropriate language in the video below):
Of course, none of this is officially affiliated with Xbox or Microsoft, so you should always exercise caution and be wary when using third-party tools like this, but we still wanted to highlight it as it's a cool little creation nevertheless.
It's certainly been going viral as well. The website Dexerto posted about it on April 3rd and racked up over 500,000 views on their social media post, while the creator's post we've linked above has reached one million views in all.
There's clearly a lot of demand and nostalgia for this kind of thing, then! As long as it's used responsibly, we think it's pretty awesome — and it's definitely giving us mid-2000s vibes all over again.
