Abyssus has been out on PC for a good few months now, and it's sitting at a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam with almost 3,000 user reviews thus far. The roguelite FPS from DoubleMoose Games has had a pretty good start, then, and it's now been announced for Xbox Game Pass later this year.
Indeed, Abyssus heads to Xbox Series X|S — including Game Pass — in Summer 2026, as the team shares its Official Console Release Window Trailer. We've chucked that clip up above, of course, which gives us a good idea of what we'll be getting into.
And here are some of the game's core features, straight from the team:
- Visceral, fast-paced FPS action, with top-notch weapon feel and combat responsiveness
- Up to 4-players co-op
- Roguelite meta progression with advancements, rewards, and unlocks
- 64 hand-crafted levels, procedurally sequenced to make every run a new experience
- 8 different weapons customizable with 45 weapon mods
- Extensive pre-run and in-run character customization options
- 36 different enemies and four bosses that will put your skills to the challenge
- … and more content to come after launch!
As the above feature list suggests, this is an FPS that will evolve over time, as the developer finetunes the experience based on its own goals and fan feedback. The Xbox & Game Pass release is set to coincide with version 1.3 on PC; a free update that brings a new playable area, new enemies, a new boss encounter and more.
Here's a look at that new playable area in action:

We'll be keeping an eye on this one in the run up to its Xbox & Game Pass launch, but yep, this looks like a solid addition to the lineup for Summer 2026!
