Original Story: The development team behind the classic cartoon-inspired shooter Mouse P.I. For Hire has today pushed the upcoming Xbox title back to "early 2026".
The game was previously due out this year, but ahead of a big reveal at tomorrow's 'Galaxies Gaming Showcase', the studio has noted that a 2025 release is no longer happening. We'll throw the team's full message on this down below:
As the top of the above statement suggests, we should be getting the full release date reveal for Mouse P.I. For Hire tomorrow, October 23rd, during this upcoming event. The Galaxies Gaming Showcase takes place at 12pm / 3pm ET / 8pm BST if you'd like to tune into the reveal yourself and see what Mouse P.I. For Hire has to show for itself.
During our last bit of coverage on the game, developer Fumi Games claimed that its upcoming shooter "is not just a fancy art project" and instead has some real weight behind it. We'll know for sure when the title drops on Xbox in early 2026.
