Data firm Newzoo has shared some detailed facts and figures about the gaming industry throughout 2025 in its new 'year in review', and the company's top-10 revenue lists have some interesting entries on there - including one Xbox first-party effort that Microsoft will no-doubt be pleased about.
Before we dive into this, Newzoo's data only covers six "key Western markets"; those being the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. In terms of that Microsoft first-party title, Oblivion Remastered comes in at number eight on the firm's "top 10 PC releases by revenue" for 2025.
The full PC list reads as follows (January to November 2025 data):
- Battlefield 6
- Schedule I
- Arc Raiders
- Monster Hunter Wilds
- Borderlands 4
- EA Sports FC 26
- R.E.P.O
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
- Civilization VII
- Dune: Awakening
In terms of the "top 10 console releases by revenue" list, the Bethesda effort misses out - as does anything from Xbox first-party. It's still an interesting list though, with EA having some big wins alongside the likes of Assassin's Creed Shadows and Borderlands 4.
The full console list reads as follows (January to November 2025 data):
- EA Sports FC 26
- NBA 2K26
- Battlefield 6
- Madden 26
- MLB The Show 25
- Assassin's Creed Shadows
- College Football 26
- Ghost of Yotei
- Pokémon Legends Z-A
- Borderlands 4
It's worth noting, of course, that this information hasn't come directly from the platform holders, so it's probably best not to read too much into these revenue lists. They're good for getting an overall idea of how certain games have performed though, and Oblivion Remastered — with it's almost 50K user reviews on Steam — appears to have done very well for Microsoft and Bethesda.
