Tales of Berseria is about to make its Xbox debut in just a few months' time! Bandai Namco has announced that the game is getting remastered for Xbox Series X and S (as well as PS5, Switch & PC) on February 27th, 2026.
This game first released for PlayStation consoles back in 2016 before getting a PC port in 2017, and received pretty good reviews at the time. It's the second most recent entry in the main "Tales of" series, with 2021's Tales of Arise being the most recent (and that one did release on Xbox at launch).
Here's a bit more about the remastered version:
"This remaster brings new quality-of-life updates, such as destination icons, encounter toggling and early grade shop access that will ease the journey of new players in this classic action JRPG. The game also includes downloadable content from the original release, featuring character costumes, bonus items, and other fan-favourite extras."
If you're interested in picking it up, Tales of Berseria Remastered is available in two different editions on the Xbox Store - the base version is just £34.99 / $39.99 and comes with a Super Adventuring Assistance Set pre-order bonus, while the Deluxe version features a bunch of extra goodies including a digital artbook and soundtrack for £49.99 / $59.99.
We'll leave you with some official screenshots below, and let us know if you're interested in the comments!
"Tales of Berseria Remastered is a fan-favourite entry in the Tales of series that introduced players to Velvet Crowe, a woman whose life is shattered by betrayal. In this remastered edition, players will once again explore a world torn between emotion and reason, where Velvet and her comrades slash through anyone and anything in their path as they navigate a world of emotional bonds and betrayal. Velvet seeks vengeance for her brother’s murder and must choose her own path."
