Seven Mega Man Games Are Heading To Xbox In The New 'Star Force Legacy Collection'

The collection was actually announced in the Japanese version of the Nintendo Direct today, but it strangely was omitted from the English one. Not sure why.

I didn't even know this subseries existed. 😅

How many more collections before we get Legends?

Certainly wouldn't say no to this, but isn't there an MM collection on other platforms yet to come to Xbox?...

Yeah, the Battle Network collection for some unknown reason skipped XBOX entirely. But my wallet just cried out in agony.

@ScalenePowers Legends is the only Mega Man subseries left, I think, but there are a bunch of miscellaneous Mega Man games that could get bundled in a collection, as well.

Sorry, that's my opinion of course. But I imagine it won't be too much longer right? There can't be that many subseries or games left. Off the top of my head I can think of Legends, Legends 2, Soccer and X Command Mission. Oh, and the Game Boy games; were those different from the NES/SNES ones?

We still need Battle Network on Xbox, and I still wish Capcom would embrace Xbox Play Anywhere for these collections. If I were Microsoft, I'd be pushing for it with the ROG Xbox Ally coming: these types of retro remastered games would literally be perfect for the device.

@Markatron84 The Game Boy ones were sort of remixes of the NES ones. I have MM3 for Game Boy, and it's like a mix of 3 and 4 on the NES, but with a few elements of its own, IIRC.

There was supposed to be a collection of colourized GB games back on the GBA (to coincide with the release of Mega Man Anniversary Collection on consoles circa 2004), but that was cancelled.

What are the chances of the Legends series (inc. Tron Bonne) getting proper NightDive-esque remasters, with HD rendering and 60+ fps?

...eh, maybe I should just buy the bare-bones emulated versions on PS3 while I still can.

Good that it’s coming to Xbox, but still odd that the Battle Network Collection isn’t on here.
