Xbox has unveiled its latest update for Halo Infinite, this time dubbed Operation: Warpath. The latest event, which runs through October 7th, brings with it lots of multiplayer goodies - including the return of Invasion mode and some of its accompanying maps from Halo: Reach.
Invasion was a multiplayer game mode that debuted way back in the Halo: Reach beta, and it features an 8v8 setup where rounds are divided into three phases, each with a unique objective. The Offense team has to complete those objectives, while the Defenders are there to prevent them at all costs.

Here are the six Halo Infinite Invasion maps - two returning and four brand-new:
- Breakpoint
- Crashout
- Exhumed
- Last Road
- Recovery
- Wavelength
Elsewhere in Operation: Warpath, we have a new 20-tier battle pass, new shop items, and a last-chance reminder to grab the premium armour set themed around Ninja Gaiden - available until the operation ends on October 7. Finally, the team has also detailed a 'Ranked Legacy' playlist that "faithfully captures the mythic vibe of ranked play" in old school Halo. Here's a bit more on this new playlist:
"Live the legend. The new Ranked Legacy playlist brings iconic Halo multiplayer combat to Halo Infinite’s ranked experience. Featuring lovingly recreated maps from Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3, this playlist faithfully captures the mythic vibe of ranked play in quintessential Halo modes such as Slayer, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, and Oddball."
This new update is now live in Halo Infinite across Xbox and PC, and we'll chuck the team's Operation: Warpath launch trailer down below:
