It's been a long old wait since the last Silent Hill game graced Xbox, and with Silent Hill F about to do just that next week, we've been keen to see what folks think of the game ASAP. Following on from Digital Foundry's glowing preview earlier this month, the game's first full review has landed, and the score is mighty impressive.
Japanese outlet Famitsu (via Gematsu) has just dropped its Silent Hill F review, amounting to a 36/40 rating. The magazine's unique scoring system has granted the game four 9/10 scores, with that final review coming in at 36/40. This is the highest score the Japanese mag has ever handed out for a Silent Hill game.
As shared by Ryokutya2089, the review notes beautiful visuals, great sound design and engaging combat as some of its plus points - while also letting us know that an average runtime for Silent Hill F is roughly 12-13 hours. The game launches for Xbox Series X|S on September 25th, 2025, or two days earlier than that through the Deluxe Edition.
As we mentioned up at the top, the tech experts at Digital Foundry came away "astounded" by Silent Hill F at a recent preview event, and we'll chuck our summary of their analysis on that down below. There's just a few days to go until Silent Hill makes its grand return to Xbox, folks!
