The ChinaJoy gaming festival has been taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre over the past few days, and although Xbox wasn't expected to play a major role in the event, Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond ended up making a surprise appearance!
In a series of photos shared by the official Xbox account on Weibo, the Microsoft Gaming CEO and Xbox President are shown checking out a variety of games - said to include titles from Tencent, NetEase and others.
We can't share the original post with you for technical reasons, but here's a reshare from Twitter:
The next time we'll see Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond might be at Gamescom 2025 later this month, with Xbox set to host a booth and a couple of daily livestreams there. That said, the two of them don't always make the trip for that one.
Anyway, there's not a whole lot to say about this right now, with Phil and Sarah yet to comment on their appearances at ChinaJoy this year, but it's just good to see them getting out and about and engaging with both players and creators!
We'll leave you with a couple of full-sized images from ChinaJoy courtesy of Xbox on Weibo:
