It's that time again! As we head into a new month, we usually bring you an update on all the Xbox games shutting down their servers, and we're actually combining both September and October 2025 for this particular update.

Why? Well, there's seemingly one server closure planned for September right now, but we don't want you to miss out on hearing about it, while October has so many that it's probably a good idea to get advance notice on all of them!

Here are the Xbox games shutting down their servers in September and October 2025:

Now, there are some caveats to all this. Fae Farm is the big one - an announcement has been made on Steam about the online servers shutting down, but the folks over at Delisted Games reckon that it could survive on console due to only requiring a Phoenix Labs account on PC. Nobody has confirmed anything either way about this though, so we're putting it in the list as a warning - the announcement says nothing about it being PC-only.

There are obviously a lot of sports games in here which is par for the course with these roundups, although keep in mind that the likes of The Gold Club 2019 and PGA Tour 2K21 were delisted ages ago anyway. WWE 2K24 is technically supposed to shut it servers at the end of September 2025 as well, although the physical manual mentions December 2025 and that seems more likely when you consider 2K23 was shut down at the start of this year.

As for Rust, that game is shutting down for Xbox One because of the new current-gen version.

There's obviously a lot more that could be added to this list over the coming weeks, so we'll keep tracking all the server closures and update this article with anything we find. Please do let us know if you spot anything as well!

Don't forget about the two games getting delisted (but unaffected by server closures) on Xbox in September as well:

Just to finish off with a bit of good news, we were pleased to hear that Sniper Elite 3 recently got relisted after spending a few months away from the Xbox Store, so that game is now purchasable again if you're interested. Splitgate is also still turning its servers off this week, but will remain playable in a peer-to-peer state moving forward.
