Talking Point: The Xbox Summer Sale 2025 Is Upon Us, So What Are You Hoping To See?

I would like both OG xbox Baldurs gate games 1 and 2 to go on sale for once. I dont want to pay $30 each for those old games, and digital to boot. 19.99 tops

I'm broke for game money from the steam sale so I'm not getting anything. I'll stick to the XGP library for now.

With my £195 savings since I unsubscribed from GPU last July, I will be hoping for:

Avowed
Raiders of the lost Ark
Atomfall
Clair expedition 33
Star Wars Outlaws (which I have on PC, and had to uninstall because it keeps cooking my MB)
AC Shadows

A couple of minor others (e.g. Robocop)

No worries if not. I'll wait for the Christmas sales (by then, these games will likely have a better % discount, and I will have £60 more artillery in the savings )

@themightyant cyberpunk is fantastic. I recently got all the trophies on that. Loved it! Idris in the DLC was just the best thing ever lol.

Wouldn't mind blue prince coming down to £15 or so. I've enjoyed it on GP but I want to own that one

Final fantasy XIII series. It would be nice if they allowed the marvel ultimate alliance series to be available for purchase. I guess more 360 and older gen games.

I would love for the FF XIII trilogy to be on sale. I've been waiting for years and nothing

@themightyant I’ll be honest I stop watching movies and tv in general years ago. The little time I have in front of a TV is spent on a video game lol

If BGIII was 50% off, I'd double dip. I actually waited for the Series X release (even though I had a PS5) because I game share with my son who doesn't have a PS5 so we buy all of our multiplats on Xbox. When it FINALLY launched on Xbox, it had a game-breaking, super frustrating game save glitch where you saves would just get wiped! So I refunded it and bought it on PS5.

If they drop Elden Ring and the sequel, I might just double dip.

I don’t plan on buying anything in this sale. The backlog demands my attention instead. Plus, I need to save up Microsoft Rewards points for Borderlands 4 and Little Nightmares 3 later in the year (assuming they review well).

@DaveTheRave agree with you about watching TV. I love the cinema still but when I'm at home, if I'm in front of a screen it'll be gaming. It's just better than watching TV.

Anyway, The Quarry for less than a tenner is a good buy (I started playing it on Gamepass without realising it was leaving the service in a couple of days!). And I recently did the 2nd run of RE2 Remake which is genuinely one of the greatest games ever made. So I'll probably get RE4 Remake as I haven't got around to it yet. I'll think about Baldurs Gate 3 as well but it's still almost £50 so not sure I need a 100 hour RPG at the moment.

@themightyant @Scrubchub last time I went to a cinema was the Doom movie 😆. Think the rock was in it. I tend to stick re-runs of top gear on the iPlayer on my phone while I game and that’s about it really . Then the kids charge my ass and that’s the end of it 😂. But when I do get ten minutes I’m all over the video game 👍
