Rematch Passes One Million Sales Despite Launching On Xbox Game Pass Last Week

The developer behind Sifu is clearly onto a massive hit with its Xbox Game Pass title Rematch - which has already passed three million unique players since it launched last week, with over 11.8 million matches having been played.

Of course, the title's inclusion on Xbox Game Pass means a lot of people will have played it for "free" on console, PC and cloud, but it's still managed to rack up one million sales in a week - that's pretty incredible success so far!

Here are some of the stats courtesy of the official Rematch team:

We mentioned in our review of Rematch here at Pure Xbox that it was emulating Rocket League in many ways, and just like in the case of that game, it's clearly exploding out of the gates at launch.

I'm personally having a blast with Rematch despite how annoying my teammates can be (!), and I can't wait to see how the game evolves over the coming months and years. Its success means it should thrive for a long time to come!

It also shows that, at least in some cases, it's possible to launch on Xbox Game Pass and still rack up a crazy amount of sales at the same time. We don't have figures for how well it's sold on Xbox consoles yet, but we know that a massive number have bought it on Steam - and that's despite it being included with PC Game Pass as well.
