Rematch Is 'Driving Me Crazy' Because Of Selfish Teammates, Say Frustrated Players

Rematch made its debut on Xbox Game Pass yesterday alongside its official launch across all platforms, and most people seem to be having a blast with it so far - but it's also infuriating because of how team-based its gameplay is.

As mentioned in our 8/10 review of Rematch here at Pure Xbox, it's a game that generally "punishes players who think they're the bee's knees and can do everything on their own". This is obviously great news in terms of encouraging teamwork, but it also accentuates when teammates are being selfish and refusing to actually pass the ball.

We definitely came across this a lot during the review period, and it's getting a lot of attention online now:

As you can see in that top clip, a common trend is for players to run out of position, attempt to perform skill moves constantly down the pitch, lose the ball and then concede an easy goal. This is usually followed by a barrage of "Good Job!" spam from other teammates who are clearly frustrated by their antics!

It's still early days though, and Rematch is a very difficult game to learn at first, so let's not pile on everyone who misplaces a pass or scuffs an easy chance to score - but if you want to avoid the wrath of other players, our number one tip is to avoid going on mazy solo runs. The more selfish you are in this game, the more it seems to punish you!
