Oblivion Remastered's First Update Is Now Live, But It's Causing Problems

I wont be returning to this until after Doom, so as long as it's problem free by then, I'm not too fussed lol.

I had a bug last night, I got soft locked on the kvatch quest. All I had to do was Google that and there are so many reddit pages about this goofy bug where Savlian Matius yells "Charge the courtyard" while standing in the courtyard surrounded by fallen enemies. The solution to progressing through this bug, enter the castle and locate the Count's body manually, which will update the next quest stage. There's an interior door at the back of the castle labeled "Count's Quarters" and he'll just be lying on the ground next to his bed. Then go back to Savlian and you can progress

For anyone reading that was relying on framegen for playable FPS, if a patch hasn't come out and fixed it yet, you can force it back on with console commands:
Altar.UpscalingMethod (1 for DLSS, 2 for FSR3. 3 for Xess)
Altar.DLSS.FG.Enabled (1 for DLSS frame gen)
Altar.DLSS.Quality for DLSS preset quality (2: DLAA, 4: Quality, 5: Balanced, 6: Performance, 7: Ultra Performance)
It might disable achievements and/or mess with your save somehow, so caution always advised. You can look up online mods for keeping achievements on or how to open the console.

Hi everyone! Bethesda CM here, first thank you all for your super quick feedback on today's hotfix. The hotfix we pushed live today was for a few backend tweaks and nothing directly impacting game play, but we've seen it's affected some Microsoft Store players' UI settings for graphical settings. Specifically, related to upscaling and anti-aliasing.

Any graphic settings adjusted prior to the Microsoft Store hotfix, are still enabled and function normally. You'll just be temporarily unable to adjust those settings due to the issue with the settings UI. The team is taking a look and working out a resolution, we will share more info as soon as we can.

@Lucylu1983 Hello there, this is not true, the update has also reset the settings to medium so all upscaling is disabled and cannot be reenabled without console commands. You have changed all PC players settings and disabled all scalers.

Please let someone on the team know ASAP as this is the games launch weekend and many people rely on upscaling due to the quality/performance of the game.

I seen some people are having there saves wiped somehow I good so far thank God 🙏 such a great relaxing game to play and looks really good even on 60fps I love it🥸💪

Also, with them being fully aware of the issues, I'm certain it won't be long before things are fixed.

@Lucylu1983 indeed, i realize you copied and pasted, its STILL incorrect information which is the bigger issue here. i apologies I thought you were the Bethesda CM lol

You spent more time correcting me than correcting the wrong information you copy and pasted....

This is probably because of the bug I reported to Bethesda a few days ago. I continued my Series X game on my handheld PC using PC Game Pass. I reduced the graphics settings and turned on XeSS upscaling on the PC.
When I then went back to Series X my save game kept the lower graphics settings from PC! It looked terrible, little better than the 2006 version. I have screenshots of this on Series X.

The only problem so far is I can't create a female character and I tried for almost an hour the other day. I tried several ways. Closing out the creator and deleting the saved game. If I download a mod, will that clear it up? I play my other ES on PC but I wanted to play this on my X/S. Thanks for the Remastered. Just started a new Oblivion game the week before so either I'm reading your mind or you're reading mine !!!!
