Since Stray announced itself on the world stage, cat games have become all the rage, and a new alternative from developer Spoonful of Wonder certainly doesn't shy away from that fact - with it's aptly-named adventure Copycat.
Copycat is a "poignant narrative-driven game about rejection, belonging and the meaning of home"; all of which Stray also had shades of. This new attempt to capture cat-lovers around the world "follows the story of a newly adopted shelter cat whose space in the home is taken by a copycat" - and reminds players to "bring the tissues" as they play.
"It's a short emotional catventure about love, loss, and identity, told entirely from a cat's point of view. Guided by a nature-documentary narrator, you'll prowl through sunlit backyards and shadowy alleys in a heartfelt journey to rediscover what "home" truly means."
Copycat has been out on PC since last year, and has done alright for itself in the time since. Over on Steam, the title has almost 2,000 reviews at a 'Very Positive' rating, and the game is now inbound for consoles. Copycat makes its feline debut for Xbox Series X|S on May 29th, 2025, at a cost of just $14.99.
We'll throw some in-game images from Copycat below, and you can check out the team's console trailer up at the top.
