Earlier today, we brought the news that Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy gets its proper next-gen patch next week - and now developer GSC Game World has provided some more information on how the new-gen version will run across Xbox Series X and S.
We're getting loads of different performance modes on both Xbox Series consoles - although Xbox Series X is the only machine that'll manage 120FPS, perhaps unsurprisingly.
Anyway, here are all the gameplay modes for Stalker Trilogy on Xbox Series X|S:
- Xbox Series X: Quality (native 4K/30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 4K/40 FPS), Performance (upscaled 4K/60 FPS), Ultra Performance (upscaled 2K/120 FPS)
- Xbox Series S: Quality (native 2K/30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 2K/40 FPS), Performance (1080p/60 FPS)
These modes seem like great options overall, and we're definitely glad to see that 40FPS mode present for both systems here. Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy was solid on these consoles played via Xbox One backwards compatibility - but this new patch will provide much more flexibility in how people want to play.
As for the game content itself though, that'll remain largely unchanged from the collection's console debut last year. If you want to read up on our general thoughts about Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy, we'll throw our 2024 write-up down below.
