Gears Of War: Reloaded Beta Seemingly Happening Ahead Of Xbox Release

It love it if they updated the multiplayer gameplay so it plays like the recent games multiplayer!!
With a bit of luck the beta will be open aswell no sign ups needed!!

Will be playing this campaign only on GPU.

It's an excuse to play through the campaign once more, but honestly, I'm not overly excited for the game, and I love Gears of War. All we are getting it an spit and polish, which we would not have received had the game not been targeting the PlayStation. For the PlayStation, releasing the game at 1080p and 30fps would have been seen as unacceptable, thus the upgraded game. That said, having it all nice and shiny is better than nowt, I guess, though I would much prefer having received Gears 6 and wrap up that particular storyline before they moved on to E-Day...

I still have my Gears of War (360) and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (XB1) discs so I don't think I'll be buying it again to play the Campaign 'yet again' - even if it had all 'new' achievements.

Its more likely I'd play it on GPU - whether I actually play it through to completion again is debateable - but it depends on what other games are around. I'd rather play something 'new' (or at least new to me) than revisit something I've already experienced and remember the story/ending etc.

Are 4 and 5s story as enjoyable as the original 3, @nomither6, probably not, but they are still enjoyable and I have played through them both many, many times. The actual details of the story are interesting (how the Locust came about), and also Kate's family history is intriguing, and then of course there was the death at the end of 5. Who is going to be treated as the canon death, or indeed, will they come back in some grotesque form. Who knows? Not me because they didn't make a 6th game to wrap up the story.

Lastly, whilst I played Gears of War 3 Horde for over a 1000 hours. I have put over 2000 hours in Horde in Gears 5. So yes, I guess you could say I enjoyed the game a lot... 😉

I agree, @Millionski, just having 2 and 3 at the same level as Ultimate would have been fantastic. Also some QoL improvements such as the ability to mark enemies and weapons, which are in Ultimate, but not 2 and 3, would have been greatly appreciated.

I have beaten every campaign multiple times solo on the hardest difficulties, and also done them in co-op. So the imperative for me to play these games is not as great as it would be to play a brand new campaign. I'll still play Reloaded when it comes out, but I won't be buying it because I'll be taking advantage of the free upgrade...

I cannot play more than a few minutes of any of the games no many how many times I try. Duck, cover and reload becomes so tedious in just a few minutes of gameplay, I never understood the popularity outside the pretty graphics. I prefer my active reload to be inactive in gaming.

Can not wait to dive on this when it hits GP. It's gunna be amazing to go back to the start and go from scratch. Happy for those on other platforms too, to get a slice of the action.
