Over the last week or two, we've seen multiple Call of Duty titles get ported over to the Microsoft Store on PC, which is a good sign that they're likely being prepared for Xbox Game Pass at some stage. While we still don't have any confirmed XGP dates for those seven COD titles, another one has now appeared on the storefront - and it could turn out to be the most popular of the bunch.
Yep, late last night, 2012's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 made its debut on the Microsoft Store for PC. At the time of writing, the 360 version of BO2 is in the top 25 paid Xbox games in both the US and the UK - so it's safe that say that its Game Pass release would be probably go down pretty well on the platform.
As we've mentioned before while covering these Microsoft Store PC drops, there's no real timeline on when this bunch of old ActiBlizz games will come to Xbox Game Pass. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy received a Microsoft Store PC release in April and it took until November for it to hit Xbox Game Pass, while Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 received a new PC release in June but it hasn't yet arrived on the service.
Still, it usually is a sign that the game will come to the library at some point, so we can expect to see Black Ops 2 — alongside a bunch of other classic COD games — come to Xbox Game Pass in 2025.
