Indie developer Sabotage Studio has teased a huge feature for its Game Pass hit Sea of Stars, with the team currently working on three player couch co-op for the title as part of a post-launch update.

Sabotage says that the mode will "stay true" to how the game plays in single-player, but it's hoping to add a whole new dimension to the title with this upcoming couch co-op feature.

"Dubbed "Single Player+", this mode allows for three players to journey together in Sea of Stars. Staying true to the game’s core turn-based roots, each player will engage in traversal and combat with a new "Co-op timed hits" mechanic as they embark with friends on Sea of Stars’ grand adventure.

The new mode is currently in development and more details are set to be released soon."

Alongside this teaser, the team has also hit another huge milestone following December's impressive player count check. Sea of Stars has now brought in five million players worldwide across all platforms - including Xbox Game Pass.

If you haven't got around to trying out Sea of Stars yet, we can wholeheartedly recommend it. This classic 2D RPG pulled in a coveted Pure Xbox 10/10 last August.
