As part of The Game Awards 2022, Supergiant Games has announced today that Hades 2 is officially in development, with details about early access set to arrive in 2023 - although there's no word on platforms as of yet.

Well I liked the first one, but this new one doesn't really impress me. I'm sure it will be a decent game, but it's not really doing anything innovative or transformative.
The first one was a Masterpiece but this looks like a copy paste job. Still could be great.
Hmmm…torn about this.
On the one hand, I like Hades and I LOVE Supergiant. Every game they make is a day one purchase, because they are all so good and entertaining.
On the other hand, one of the things that has made them so great is that every game is unique with unique story ideas, mechanics and music. I don’t really like the idea of them being stuck churning out sequels to anything when they have shown how truly creative they can be from game to game.
Still getting this, but this is the first SG release that makes me feel uneasy.
I don't like this genre much but I beat and enjoyed Hades on Game Pass. Hades II looks like a safe sequel with different characters and probably ideas they have had since the first game.
