Following a two-year early access period on PC, Mount & Blade: Bannerlord 2 finally makes its console debut today, October 25th. TaleWorlds' huge strategy RPG has gained quite the following over the last few years, with over 150k Steam reviews amounting to a 'very positive' overall rating!
The game leaves early access today for PC players alongside its broader console release, which brings both an Xbox One and a Series X|S port. Here's a quick dev breakdown of what Bannerlord 2 brings to the table:
Create a character, engage in diplomacy, craft, trade and conquer new lands in a vast medieval sandbox. Raise armies to lead into battle and command and fight alongside your troops in massive real-time battles using a deep but intuitive skill-based combat system.
The development team has been keen to stress that the title has always been developed as a multi-platform effort from day one, despite its PC-only early access period. We'll drop the latest Xbox trailer down below.

I enjoyed M&B on pc years ago but a lot of that was due to mod support.
As far as I can tell that is sadly not an option on console for M&B 2.
Also seen a few reports of UI issues and crashes for the console version. Which I am sure will be patched eventually.
Not a day one for me but I might pick it up in a sale at some point.
For anyone who has played this, does it play similar to the Total War series? I got that vibe watching the trailer, except for the 3rd person perspective where you walk around.
@Dijita ive played the first one and watched a full playthrough of the second one and its a little similar to total war however instead of being like a omnipresent commander you play as a character you make and command the army and also fight
