"EA Sports FC" is generating a lot of headlines right now, but there's plenty of other stuff going on at Electronic Arts.
In the video game giant's latest earnings report, the company teased what's on the menu for 2023. According to official details, there are plans for a major IP, a partner title, a remake as a well as an unknown sports title. In a footnote, EA mentions how all four titles have "not yet been publicly disclosed".
Although it's unclear at this point in time what exactly these four games are, there are already plenty of existing EA licenses that come to mind, such as the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series. EA's college football project is another one fans are waiting for.
The confirmed list of upcoming games (not including the unknowns) is as follows:
- F1 22 (Q1 2022)
- FIFA 23 (Q2 2022)
- Madden NFL 23 (Q2 2022)
- Need For Speed (Q3 2022)
- NHL 23 (Q3 2022)
- PGA Tour (Q4 2022)
Whatever these extra unknown games are, there's a good chance they will at some point come to the Xbox Series X|S consoles and Microsoft Windows platforms (and EA Play in the future). In somewhat related news, EA yesterday announced it would be making games based on The Lord of the Rings again.

I thought a Star Wars game was rumoured and not announced? So probably that is one.
Sports - maybe the rumoured Boxing, UFC? I doubt rugby, cricket or tennis? Timing suggests World Cup game but with other announcements that’s doubtful?
Remake - another Need for Speed? Underground? (2)

Other than that I can’t think what it could be… anything lol. They’ve done well to keep 4 games hidden
Dragon Age collection does seem the most natural choice for the remake given what they did with Mass Effect. I definitely think the remake will be of PS3/360 game(s) given those consoles are probably rather close to their servers being shut down.

Why are the other sports games "23", but F1 is "22"?
@PhileasFragg An F1 season lasts from March until December: it's all contained within one calendar year whereas something like FIFA takes place across two years (Summer to Summer)

Well now that EA don't have to make 'Fifa' licensed sports Sim to a very exacting requirement, they could bring out Street Soccer or some other variations - 5 a-side, legends, etc
As with every 'new' announcement/reveal, all they do is give me something to keep my eye on until they either do enough to make me want to play or leave it alone. If Starfield wasn't coming to Game-Pass, it hasn't done enough (yet) to make me want to Buy it yet. However, as it is coming to Game Pass, I don't 'need' to see if its worth the money, I can try it to see if it is. I'm not 'excited' by Fable, Perfect Dark etc either - interested in, but not excited - yet!
Point is, new announcements/reveals are 'cool' as it gives me an idea of what I might be interested in Playing in the Future but because they are in the Future, I can't get excited until I'm convinced that its a game I 'must' play and 'pre-order'. Until then, its just another release coming to perhaps keep my eye on to see if its something of interest.

EA have their own "EA Partners" program which are not platform holder partners. Could be SW Jedi Fallen Order 2 or possibly Titanfall 3 if the nVidia leak continues to be accurate

The series I'd love to see return, although I guess it's impossible, is MVP baseball.
