In news related to Microsoft's third-quarter earnings for FY22, company CEO Satya Nadella has announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming has now been streamed by more than 10 million people around the world.
Microsoft's Frank Shaw also confirmed this in a brief message via social media:
"With Xbox Cloud Gaming… more than 10 million people have streamed games to date, and we expanded the service to four new countries."
Xbox Cloud Gaming is currently limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Game Pass, in general, now has 25 million subscribers. One of the most recent regions where cloud gaming was made available was Brazil.

Those are great numbers for a service still limited in locations.
Initially I wasn't a big fan as it seemed very laggy and sluggish, but I got a new router (same internet connection and provider) and many games are now playable on my phone and laptop. Still not fast enough for twitch games like Forza, Halo etc. for me but for everything else it works great and will only get better.
Haven't tried it on Xbox at length yet. Anyone done this much? How does it hold up on the big screen?
I'm one of them. I never use it when at home but it's great to be able to play my games when I'm on holiday or staying with people. The input lag is noticeable but games are still playable and it's better than nothing.
@themightyant I use it for Game Pass quests when I can't be bothered to install.
On the Xbox is actually the best version - it's 1080p, no noticeable input lag for me and with upscaling it looks pretty good on a big 4K TV
@themightyant I use it all the time on my One X in the bedroom and it is silky smooth, running on a 100mb/s internet connection. It's great to just go an instantly pick up whatever I was playing when I get kicked out of the living room.
It is usable on certain, less reflex based games when using 4g on my phone but as soon as I'm on WiFi it's great again.
Love the feature and the addition of streaming on consoles as well has been great
@Widey85 I too use it for Game Pass quests, it's VERY useful but i've only done it on games that you just need to launch, not put in too much actual game time.

I use it on my Samsung tablet when the tv is occupied, so far it's been immaculately smooth and the last game I played via cloud was guardians of the galaxy which ran perfect as well.
There's only two things I want them to sort out with xcloud.
1, if possible sort out the Bluetooth audio delay as its pretty bad over Bluetooth, I'm currently using wired headphones which is fine I suppose.
2, add a 1080p option, I know this is an option when streaming via the console but it should also be an option when streaming from phones and tablets especially as most devices these days are standard 1080p, stadia has that setting so I see no reason for microsoft not to offer it as well
@UltimateOtaku91 The Bluetooth audio delay is an issue with the Bluetooth technology itself. Not noticeable on videos as they can delay the picture to fit the sound delay. Can't do that with games unfortunately or game would be unplayable. Same problem on Switch.
When I only had a Series S I used it to play Elder Scrolls Online to save some HD space.
As far as I was concerned it worked really well and I had no issues doing all content including raids and dungeons.
Sadly though I believe something cropped up and they withdrew ESO from the service so it's no longer available. I hope it will return at some point though as it is a useful feature for series s folks.
Other than that I have only used it as try before download for a few games
I use this a fair bit and have been pleasantly surprised! Perfect for games not relying on fast responses. It's not something I would try for a multiplayer title
I've used it a bunch to play onu phone in random spots and I've played almost the entire AI Somnium game just on xcloud. Streaming on the series x is also great to just get smaller games going. Messed around with Forza on the phone as well. Still prefer to play natively but it's a fantastic feature. This summer going for a 2 week road trip and I'm bringing a controller and my phone clip to play Xbox as needed.
I used the cloud to stream games to my console to save space as well as oh the go play
I tried playing through Destroy All Humans with it. It was OK. But I still prefer the download and on console/pc experience. It is worth it as a secondary service when I want to play but don't have a console around.
