Xbox Fixes Multiple Issues In Insider Update, Including Game DVR Sharing

The team at Xbox is always, always busy bringing out new Xbox Insider updates on a near-daily basis, and we've seen a few notable fixes this week, including the return of direct-to-twitter sharing for Game DVR content.

As you may remember, the ability to share content from Xbox directly to Twitter was removed earlier this month, and Xbox Insider Program Lead Brad Rossetti issued a message yesterday thanking fans for feedback on this matter:

Elsewhere, there were two other notable fixes in the Insider rings yesterday. The first was for the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring, which added a fix to "address stuttering playback issues in streaming apps" like Netflix, while the other was included in the Beta ring update, and addressed "an issue where users could not connect a Guest profile to play local multiplayer."

  • Fixes to address stuttering playback issues in streaming apps (i.e. Netflix). (Alpha Skip-Ahead)
  • Fixed an issue where users could not connect a Guest profile to play local multiplayer. (Beta)
  • Users will again see the option to share content directly to Twitter. (Beta)

In terms of when these changes will roll out beyond the Insider rings, it's anyone's guess, but it's usually only a matter of a couple of weeks, or a couple of months at the most. In regards to the Twitter issue specifically, while many people probably aren't that bothered about it, it's great to see the team taking the feedback on board.
