The final major event of 2021 is upon us in the form of The Game Awards, which takes place this Thursday, December 9th. Xbox and Bethesda have 20 nominations for the award ceremony, but the bit we're most excited about is that The Game Awards usually treats us to some world premiere reveals and various other surprise announcements.

"Celebrate the best video games of 2021 and see world premiere announcements of what's coming next in 2022 and beyond! The Game Awards streams live and free around the world on Thursday, December 9, 2021."

"Join us from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles for awards, world premieres and musical performances from Sting, Imagine Dragons and The Game Awards Orchestra. Geoff Keighley hosts a spectacular showcase..."

The organisers are pretty much keeping us in the dark about what we can expect, but we know that at least four new Game Pass for PC titles will be revealed, and there are rumours that Hellblade 2 and Avowed will show up as well.

Here's when it all kicks off on Thursday, December 9th (it's expected to last for a few hours):

  • Main Show: 5pm PT / 8pm ET / 1am GMT

You'll be able to watch via the following links:

As usual, we'll be hosting the show for you to watch here at Pure Xbox (we'll open up the chatroom as well), and if you're not able to catch it live, rest assured we'll be covering all the important details following the event.
