It was rumoured that Alan Wake 2 might show up at The Game Awards, and that's exactly what happened! It got a very brief teaser trailer along with the announcement of a 2023 date for consoles and PC.
Unlike the original game, this will be a multi-platform release (Xbox, PlayStation and PC) and take the form of a "survival horror" title. Don't expect much news on this one for now — the team is "going dark" while they work on it.
"This story is a monster. And monsters wear many faces. The writer returns in Alan Wake 2."

Not too pleased with it being survival horror as I don't like most things about the genre but I'll wait for some gameplay. First one was pretty survival to me.
