Ubisoft has announced the post-launch content for Far Cry 6, including a mixture of free and paid DLC. No matter which path you choose, it looks as though you're going to be in for a pretty insane time.
Let's start with the free content. Three packs have been announced, bringing new missions, characters and storylines to the game. Iconic actor Danny Trejo is first up, followed by a Rambo themed pack after that. But the craziest out of all of them is the inclusion of a Stranger Things crossover, which we can't wait to hear more about.
As for the paid content, the Season Pass will include three expansions, allowing you to live out the origin stories of past Far Cry villains. The twist? These stories will play out in a roguelite game mode, encouraging players to fight, die and try again in some crazy environments.
Don't forget, anyone who purchases the Season Pass will also receive the absolutely fantastic Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon for no additional charge. It's one of the best things to come out of the series and if you missed it the first time around, it's the perfect opportunity to check it out.
Ubisoft is no stranger to adding stranger and weird content to Far Cry, but this looks to be a whole new level. It's got us pretty excited for the game in all honesty and October 7 can't come quick enough.
Will you be picking up Far Cry 6 next month? Let us know in the comments below.

Okay rambo is a cool add!
Lol when seeing the picture i was like hey Turok! 😂
I do really enjoy a far cry as not many FPS that are open world and let you explore and a bit crazy etc.
Will be day one for me digital to my series x.
Then FH5 GPU
Then Halo GPU
Think that’s me done for the year then.
Elden Ring 2022 January, that can be a birthday present for me.
I'm, unusually, excited about this rendition. But it's ubi, so temper expectations and wait. Ubi games drop in price faster than others. Fenyx was $30, pretty much, from the start.
@PhhhCough I read that enemies have health bars, which certainly lowered my expectations (though enemies are less spongy than they were in new dawn)
Looking forward to this but not buying it until the inevitable sale on the gold edition.
@abe_hikura they can be hidden and, to be fair, these games always had “health bars”, you just didn’t see them.
@PhhhCough Yep it went down like 15 or 16 days after release.
I bought it day one, and just outside automatic refund I could have got the deluxe edition for what I paid.
Complained to Microsoft but given short shrift - thankfully I mostly bought it with reward points or I'd have been a lot more annoyed!
So this time I'll wait
@Tharsman Its not so much the fact they have life bars, its the whole headshots wont kill thing. Though I did read headshots with things like bows still count.
I don't mind headshots not working on characters with helmets or even shields but no-kill bare head headshots always drains some of my enthusiasm for a game, particularly in one like this where they are really pushing the "immersion" factor.
Don't get me wrong I'm still buying this, I'm not trying to crap on it.
Il rent it like I do every far cry..enjoy the games but I ain't paying full whack for a reskin single player game..not interested in far cry multiplayer(if this one has it)
@StylesT
It could be worse and be £70
Wish we could go back to the OG Far Cry days with stuff like Instincts Predator.
Celebrity tie ins do absolutely nothing for me TBH.
I'm assuming there's going to be a native Xbox One or Series version of Blood Dragon then?
Recently Ubisoft seem to be making their dlc more interesting then the actual game
This Far Cry looks boring. Same old clichés: crappy war-torn country, dictator, guerrilla factions, blah blah. I'm falling asleep writing this comment 😴
@Xiovanni Wouldn't you like to know Xinni the pooh
Thats no Rambo 😒😤
Nice adding Trejo though 😎
Another backwards compatible game with a current release! I wonder how Xbox feel when this happens with all the work they have put in to BC.
I think I'll get the game and wait for the season pass to go on sale...could take awhile
