We found out in March how Team17 would be bringing Black Matter's "hardcore" World War II first-person shooter Hell Let Loose to Xbox Series X and S at some point this year, and now a date has finally been locked in.
The developer has revealed the title will arrive next month on 5th October. With it comes "huge" 50 vs 50 battles, console cross-platform play (as previously announced), a range of classes and roles, 14 "historically accurate" maps and a dynamic metagame.
This isn't your standard arcade-style take on the genre, either. You'll have to rely on teamwork and communication to take down strategic targets and dominate the opposition.
If you pre-order on Xbox you'll also unlock the Iron Vanguard Pack. Here's what it contains:
"Unlock access to join the Iron Vanguard and take to the front lines with an array of unique uniforms. Roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the thick of it with the German forces or take to the US tanks and show off the “Hell on Wheels” jacket!"
Will you be on the frontline when this one arrives on Xbox Series X|S? Tell us down below.

I am actually more excited for this then Call of Duty Vanguard.
I’m really happy this is coming to Series X after watching many PC gameplay videos and wishing it would come to Xbox. Although I’ve enjoyed Enlisted, this game is just superior in every way. I just hope this game does not become free-to-play because I paid £25 for Enlisted then a couple of months later it went F2P.
Played it on pc and want to love this game but the performance has been terrible. And I think its stupid to release it in the same month as COD, Battlefield and Far Cry. So good luck filling 100 player servers.
@Dutch_Bullet I was thinking the same about this along with Sandstorm: Insurgency. All the big FPS hitting in and around the same time.
