Three Classic Quake Games Have Been Added To Xbox Game Pass

We've had a very pleasant surprise today in the form of a brand-new Quake remaster for Game Pass on console, PC and cloud, but we've also had two other Quake games join Game Pass for PC exclusively.

Those two games are Quake 2 and Quake 3: Arena, with the difference being that they are the original versions of those games, and haven't been touched up whatsoever. If you've never played them, here's a bit of brief:

Quake (Enhanced): Console, PC, Cloud

Developed by the award-winning id Software, Quake® is the ground-breaking, original dark fantasy first-person shooter that inspires today’s retro-style FPS games. Now, experience the authentic, updated, and visually enhanced version of the original.

Quake 2: PC

Quake 2 Xbox Game Pass PC

Originally released by id Software in 1997, Quake® II is a fast-paced sci-fi first-person shooter. Outnumbered, alone and behind enemy lines you must destroy the Strogg defenses and assassinate their commander before they can attack Earth.

Quake 3: PC

Quake 3 Xbox Game Pass PC

Originally released by id Software in 1999, and powered by id Tech 3, Quake® III Arena is a fast-paced, competitive arena shooter where you are only as good as your reflexes.

All of these games are available to download right now with Xbox Game Pass, or you can purchase them separately via the Microsoft Store if you want to. There's no word on whether the Xbox 360 versions of Quake 2 and Quake 3: Arena (Quake Arena Arcade) will eventually make their way to Game Pass for console, but we're not counting on it!

Which of these will you be downloading with Xbox Game Pass? Let us know in the comments below.
