The Atari VCS, a "completely modern gaming and video computer system, blending the best of consoles and PCs", is seemingly planning to add support for Xbox Game Pass titles as part of Xbox Cloud Gaming "in the coming months".
This is according to the company's recent annual results filing, which highlights that one of the plans is to provide "direct access to popular services like Stadia, GeForce Now, Luna and Xbox" through cloud services.
Interestingly, as pointed out by MUO, the company mentions the words "direct access", which suggests some kind of app for Xbox could be implemented into the system, rather than just accessing Game Pass through a browser.
We'll have to wait and see what comes of this, but in the meantime, Atari is focused on getting these consoles out the door in anticipation of the 2021 holiday season, while evaluating opportunities to add additional retail markets in 2022.
Thoughts on the Atari VCS potentially getting integrated Game Pass support? Let us know down below.

I'm pretty happy for the 7 people that own this console right now. lol
Can’t believe that’s where it all started for me back in the 80s.
My first console Atari VCS 2600
Pacman, defender, berserk etc.
I was a huge Atari fan as a kid but the VCS and that walking corpse of a company are absolute joke and insult to what that company once was.
Seriously just buy a Series S, it's much cheaper and considerably more powerful than this and you can emulate all the Atari games on it anyway
The Jaguar was the last thing Atari related I've ever owned. And I used to think it was better than the SNES. Stupid boy!

If the Atari VCS was cheaper this would actually make it very appealing.
I would be shocked to see Game Pass come to this. It would kinda... be a hit against its legitimacy, I dunno. Right? Like, this whole AtariVCS platform is a scam. It's fine if Stadia and Luna show up on it; they're going to get shut down quickly too. That's a match made in heaven. But Game Pass? C'mon - Game Pass is LEGIT. Stay away from stuff like this, Microsoft. Might as well make an app for the Ouya
@Vinsanity 100%
I'm pretty sure this is nonsense and Microsoft no nothing about this. Sounds like corporate fluff to try and make investors think this platform has some life, when we all know it was dead on arrival.
@carlos82 preach!
@ymo1965 I got Cybermorph at launch. One of the worst games I’ve ever owned.
@Monkeyofthefunk Yeh, it was kinda trashy. Much preferred the Alien vs Predator game. Incidentally, I tried the Jaguar emulator years ago and forgot just how basic all the games were on the system. Nothing really that had a wow factor. My faves however were Rayman and Jeff Minter's 'Tempest 2000'.
So this is what he meant by platforms that have game pass. TES6 on Xbox, PC, cloud, and Atari. but not on PlayStation. E.T. remaster on Game Pass when, Phil??
@carlos82 to be fair, original company was a joke to the original company too..... So much that video games almost died. And Nolan Bushnell is still a mook.
@Dezzy70 Is there BC for our 2600 sticks? Flight Sim with an Atari stick.... Back to the future!
@NEStalgia
No but we could use the Atari 2600 paddle controllers. Remember them.
My guess is there web browser can access all cloud based sites and it works. I doubt that Xbox spends resources to create app to run direct off the Atari
I have the Atari VCS and I enjoy it. If they could get the cost down to $200 with a larger library of games I do think it could do okay. I tried Xcloud on mine and it runs okay with pretty bad input lag. Stadia runs great though.
i think i can speak for most gamers on the Xbox ecosystem . why would we want to play game pass games on anything other than a series x/s or Xbox one and game pass PC. besides the Atari VCS costs roughly the same price as a next gen Xbox console. if you want to play game pass on a console just buy a Xbox series x/s
