The rest of August is looking impressive for Xbox Game Pass. Titles such as Psychonauts 2, Myst and of course, Twelve Minutes, are all arriving in the next week-or-so. The latter is dropping on Thursday, August 19, and if you were hoping to dive straight in at midnight, you're going to be slightly disappointed.
Unfortunately, the game will be launching a little later than usual in the day. The Microsoft Store has listed the official times, and so you'll find yourself being able to download and play the game from 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST.
While there's no way to pre-download the game the traditional way (at the time of writing), you can do it through the Xbox app for Android or iOS. We've highlighted exactly how to pre-load it - it's pretty simple!
If you're curious about Twelve Minutes and want to know what you're getting yourself into, we've also curated a guide for everything you need to know. Be sure to check it out if you want to learn more about this interactive thriller.
Not long now until you can tackle the mystery yourself!

And there is that carpet from The Shining again (in the hallway).
Is this the norm with new releases now, not being able to play them from midnight? Or is it only when a new game releases on Game Pass?
@MaccaMUFC For Game Pass at least, the new trend seems to be around noon EDT. I think that's been the case with The Ascent and a few others so far. I'd be willing to bet that MS's first-party games will have midnight launches though.
@XxEvilAshxX I hope that’s the case for MS’s first-party games being able to play them from midnight. I don’t usually play a new game at that time of night but I do like to get stuck in on a morning. With this current tread though, us in the UK, we have to wait till almost evening to play a new release.
@MaccaMUFC
The beta last weekend for Diablo 2 Resurrected was also at 6PM BST. I am afraid that this will be normal now.
I add a day onto the release date, seeing as the UK times are always late in the evening. Avoids me being disappointed in the morning haha
