It seems like we've known about The Lord of the Rings: Gollum for quite a while now, as it was originally meant to launch this year. Unfortunately, the game was delayed until 2022, and a new behind-the-scenes look at the game has revealed it is now planning to launch in the fall of next year.

While this isn't the deepest of dives, it does provide a few snippets of gameplay of Gollum exploring environments. Through traversal he is seen climbing, running, and jumping through iconic Lord of the Rings locales. Not only that, but we also get a first look at some character models for some of the series' most beloved characters, such as Gandalf.

More news on the game is promised in the future, but for now this pre-alpha footage is looking decent. We just hope to have a more substantial look at gameplay soon, rather than these fleeting glimpses we've been treated to so far.
