Annapurna Interactive has announced that Outer Wilds is getting a brand-new expansion, two years after its original release. Echoes of the Eye is heading to Xbox on September 28.

A new cryptic trailer shows the expansion in action, seemingly keeping the mystery found in the original game. After discovering a strange satellite photo, a new story unravels as players follow new threads across the solar system to solve its many questions.

A leak of the expansion actually surfaced back in April via Steam's database, sparking the conversation around the upcoming content. At least now we finally have official confirmation alongside a release date. Let's hope it lives up to the ridiculously high standards set by the original game back in 2019.
