Over the past few months you may have heard of a game known as Chernobylite, an RPG survival horror title set in a 3D-scanned recreation of the real Exclusion Zone from Chernobyl. It's currently in Early Access on PC, but is now finally making its way to Xbox One on September 7.

Originally intended to release in June, this RPG survival horror will have you exploring the Exclusion Zone as you make choices, fight terrifying enemies, and make companions along the way. There's also a heavy emphasis on crafting, as you upgrade weapons and build your own base of operations. The reviews on Steam have this listed as mostly positive, so this sounds like one to watch out for.

Key Features

- Exploration:
Find the beautiful and horrifyingly accurate 3D-scanned recreation of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

- Non-linear plot:
Immerse yourself in the thrilling science-fiction horror story.

- Making decisions that impact the world:
Ally or fight with residents of the Zone, but whatever you do, never fully trust them. Remember – everybody has a hidden agenda. Always.

- Team building:
Support your companions, and they will support you. Otherwise, you’re dead on arrival.

- Survival:
Face natural and supernatural threats, sometimes coming from places you can’t yet understand.

- Crafting:
You decide: take care only of your basic needs or expand your possibilities by making weapon modifications, using tools and constructing advanced devices in your base.

- Changing the past:
Using your special device allows you to change your previous choices, but playing with an alternate reality will affect your whole gameplay. Sometimes it means fighting against the savage creatures pouring from other worlds.

- Gathering information:
Investigate and collect data with a set of sophisticated environment and substance analysing tools. What you’ll find may (or may not) impact your future choices… or make you want to change your previous ones.

While we patiently await the fantastic looking Stalker 2, this could be a worthwhile diversion. Judging by the gameplay floating around online, it seems to be a blend of Fallout, Stalker and Metro - all in one spooky package. If you're a fan of any of those series', you're probably not going to want to miss out on this one.
