You may have seen your friends, family and possibly even a few rivals receive their invitation to the first technical preview for Halo Infinite over the past 24 hours. You're probably sitting there a little bit miffed, constantly refreshing your inbox in the hope of being invited. But don't worry, there are said to be more invitations on the way!

Brian Jarrard, the community director for Halo at 343 Industries, provided an in-depth Twitter thread highlighting the selection process. The first beta - which will begin on July 29 and run until August 1 - is said to have chosen Halo Insider profiles which were fully verified, starting with long standing members of the program.

As a result, not everyone was picked.

That being said, Jarrard added that due to the large number of invites, they may take a while to send so could still be on the way. He's advised people to check their junk email folders, as well as logging into their Halo Insider accounts on July 29, as they may have been accepted for the first beta without realising.

If you're still unlucky then don't fret, as Jarrard added that the team "are planning for future flights that are larger in scope with even more Insiders being invited", and it's still not too late to sign-up and register for access.

If you did get in and you're eager to learn more about the upcoming technical preview, 343 Industries is hosting a live stream later today at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 9pm UTC / 10pm BST. The stream can be viewed via the developer's Twitch or YouTube channels, and promises to give a first look at the technical preview in action.
