We don't know about you, but we've been hit with an issue where switching between our Quick Resume games has caused our controllers to become unresponsive. This has made the feature pretty much useless in some cases at the moment, as the only workaround we've found is to quit the game and load it up again. Luckily, Xbox has caught wind of this problem, and is now working on implementing a fix.
As part of the most recent Xbox Insider update notes, numerous known issues were listed - one of which relates to this problem. As noted: "These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution."
"Some users have reported that when returning to a Quick Resume title that their controller is not responding in the game."
We hope a fix is found sooner rather than later. Quick Resume is proving really great to jump between games such as Dragon Quest XI before hopping on Wreckfest for a few races to cleanse the palette. As of now, there's no ETA on when this issue may be resolved, but fingers crossed the next Xbox Insider update comes with some news.

Oh I thought that was the game crashing. So it was the Xbox OS bugging out all along…
Hope it’s fixed soon.
Yes, I’ve experienced the same issue. It doesn’t happen all the time or even that often, so it doesn’t ruin the experience overall for me. I’m fact, it has only happened twice since the last update. I’ve been sure to save the game or get myself to a point where if it does happen, I won’t be upset. I still think it’s a phenomenal feature despite the little hiccups.
It's been happening loads for me! Glad a fix is on the way.
I've had this happen a few times but only on 76
Hmm, I never had any issues with Quick Resume and controller response.
I did notice a strange bug with Yakuza Kiwami 2 where, after using Quick Resume many times over the span of a couple of weeks, the draw distance of decals and certain environmental game assets was literally pushed right to the player. I actually played the game for bit with the draw distance like that for a while just because it was quite entertaining to see as the lines of streets just popped into existence at the bottom of the screen as if Kiryu was painting the street lines with his presence.
Backing out to the game's main menu and reloading my save file fixed the problem.
Happens to me a lot on games that haven’t been optimized for the new generation.
Thought this was just me. Glad to hear it’s a known issue!
Finally they acknowledge this! Pulling the batteries half the time I start is kind of annoying.
