In case you missed the news a month ago, Microsoft announced that the Xbox Series X and Series S would arrive in mainland China on June 10, and a day before their release, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has delivered a message to fans.
In the short video you see below, Spencer thanks fans in China for their support and patience in waiting for the arrival of the Series X and S, and states that "we can't wait for you to jump into this next generation, can't wait to see you online."
The recommended retail price of the Xbox Series X will be ¥3,899 in the country, while the Xbox Series S will retail for ¥2,399. Here's what Microsoft's marketing director for Xbox greater China had to say about the announcement:
"We're excited to be able to sync with Chinese gamers into the new generation of games and experience the new generation of games with a high degree of immersion and compatibility. Games are a very creative way to express themselves, to stimulate our imaginations, to connect with each other in a vivid story."

Phil Spencer is such the face of Xbox at this point, I'm genuinely surprised he's not in commercials and TV ads. Microsoft should totally "Kevin Butler" the guy, unless he's just totally terrible on-camera... even then, they could hire an actor to portray a caricature version of Phil and people would still dig it, I think. Not like Kevin Butler was a real Sony executive...

Taiwan is a country. The communists on the ‘mainland’ should have received the Series X/S directly after helping rig NOV 2020.

Nah, China is China and Taiwan is Taiwan. Calling China West Taiwan is like calling Pakistan West India and calling North Korea North South Korea.
