It's been a few months since we last saw it, but the Microsoft Rewards 10k Xbox Gamerscore Challenge has returned as of today, allowing you to earn up to 10k Microsoft Rewards points by earning achievements this month.
It should be starting to appear in your Microsoft Rewards app right now, as you can see below:
As noted, the challenge lasts from today (May 11th) to Monday, May 31st, so you've got just over a couple of weeks to try and acquire as many achievements as possible in Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S games.
If you're looking for suitable games for the challenge, check out our Microsoft Rewards Challenge guide!
Will you be taking part in the 10k Microsoft Rewards challenge this month? Let us know down below.

Wish it was last week, RE8 seems to be handing out cheevos like it's going out of style but I'm almost done on that. Still, just in time for Mass Effect...
Ah that's brilliant, cheers for updating that other guide too. It's good to get these points with game pass games that have a sell by date on them and save the GwG and other free games for a similar future punch card when there is slim pickings for easy achievements on the then available game pass games!
Edit: looks like I've got 6 of the game pass games in that challenge guide left with no achievements popped so that's a good start but I may have to dip into my GwG and free games selection
Excited to see this is back! Once I complete it and get my 6,000 point for Mass Effect: LE I'll have enough to get the External Expansion Card for £90. If it's still in stock!
So glad I played through Life is Strange 2 last week and both Telltale Batman games earlier in the year.
I need to learn to save those sorts of games for events like this.
Bring it on!
I love these, I save my easy cheevo games up for these events now.
It's quite a loop.
Buy cheap games, earn some rewards points for future purchases, have a little fun, get cheevos, occasionally earn extra rewards in promos like these. They have me, but I love it!
I like cheevos, I like little indie games, I like to be able to complete games in my limited time, I like earning rewards points to buy extra credit.
MS have a really good thing going here. Nothing like this on my PS4, Switch has a nice little rewards system, but it's not a patch on Xbox.
I've already got 2030 points today, I wonder if I can squeeze another quick 1000 in? 🤔
There's an easy 545 gamerscore available for just booting all the games in Rare Replay (including the 360 titles which unlock cumulative achievements like "play every banjo game")
Well this puts Dishonoured on the back burner! I've been saving some games fir this punchcard so I'll be finishing the last two Walking Dead games I've yet to play, Minecraft campaign, and also Hellblade. Really excited to see how hellblade looks on the Series X! I also set aside the Medium for this so might as well get that going!! Now just to find the time and not have the wife hate me.....
Damn it, just creamed 2k in Forza.
Awesome! I just used my rewards to get 3 months of GP. This will go a long way to playing for free for another 3.
Glad for those that make this work - personally, I don't see the appeal. The point amounts are so low, and you have to burn through so much in order to do it. All those easy achievements are a resource that I can get much more points from in the long run, from dailies and punch cards, etc.
@LegendOfPeach I think there's a math to it. At a base level of 50 points per achievement a day (for this example I am discounting additional punch cards and weeklies). If the GS for an achievement is less than 50 then it's worth saving it for that daily. If the GS is higher than 50 then it would be worth scoring for this punch card as GS directly translates to points.
You could probably say a larger number if you could do the maths and work out exactly what the maximum and also the average amount of points you could get per acheivement on a normal day. Would need to collect the data of what points are available over a few months though.
Having said that, between Game Pass, GwG and paid for games, there is an abundance of available achievements and/or gamerscore. I don't think I will personally run out if I just use the quick games for this punch card and save the drop in/out games like Forza Horizon for the achievement a day.
But....I do like making spreadsheets for random stuff like this so maybe I will collect some data over a period of time in the future and get back to you with a definitive answer. Or at least post it over in the rewards thread in the forums! 😅
Just like last time, this challenge doesn’t seem to be available here in Sweden
I wonder why though, because the one that was in october last year was available here…
I can’t find this is it a regional thing?
